Hi. I am a senior in high school and this year I am learning Gregg shorthand. I look forward to your site being a big help as somewhere I can come to practice reading! I want to get good at shorthand so I can take notes in college.
Hello! I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Letha today (8/30/07) in Rye, Colorado, where I also live. I took shorthand in high school, having graduated in 1972. I had no idea there was still an interest in shorthand in today's world! I enjoyed shorthand, and though I didn't use it later in my working career, it was a definite help in learning to hear spoken dictation and transcribe it which I still do as a medical transcriptionist. I look forward to visiting this site again in the future, and good luck to all who are learning or refreshing their shorthand knowledge!
I have been teaching shorthand through online and if you want to learn shorthand I can do my best to make you enjoy the benefit of writing English in shorthand. Let us do our best to improve this beloved site.
I really enjoyed your web site. I never thought I'd find anyone who could translate gregg. Good luck with your site.
Thank you for your encouragement a few years ago when I wanted to give up shorthand and send you back the books! I'm glad I stuck with it. I use Gregg Simplified to take and write notes in class.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist so my speed-building is going pretty slow, but at least my penmanship is decent!
Thank you again for sending me the books in the first place. It's turned into a fun hobby and has even improved my longhand.
